For the first time in half a century, more Americans said they admire the President-elect than the current President. The poll also showed President Bush in a distant second place.
Incoming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the top spot as the most admired woman ahead of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. It’s a position Clinton has held for 13 of the last 16 years. Condoleezza Rice, Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama rounded out the top five.
The survey of more than thousand adults was taken by landline and cell phone the weekend of Dec. 12-14th. It has a margin of error of +/- 3%.

It's great to see a site dedicated to the work of the new Renegade President, Barack Obama, mention this poll which reminds us of the ground swell of support and admiration we have for him. Way to go Mr. President-Elect, don't forget about us when you get there. |
